On January 18, the first phase (northern section) of Tianjin Rail Transit Line Z4 was officially entered service. The trains, custom-built by CRRC Dalian Co., Ltd., support regional coordinated development and contribute to the construction of a rail-connected Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
The trains?consist of six?Type-A?aluminum-alloy cars featuring?high strength, light?weight, and resistance to corrosion. With a maximum operating speed of 120 km/h, the trains are well suited for rapid urban commuting and regional connectivity. Two accessible cars are available on each trainset, equipped with wheelchair securing devices and a passenger call?system.
The trains are?equipped with multiple independently?developed innovative systems. The online pantograph-catenary monitoring system?enables?real-time diagnostics of the overhead contact system, enhancing?power supply safety. A?regenerative braking energy feedback system converts braking energy into electrical energy?for enhanced?energy-efficient?operation. An?intelligent lighting system automatically?adjusts brightness based on ambient light, improving passenger comfort while reducing energy consumption. In addition, running gear and battery health management systems?provide round-the-clock condition?monitoring and early warnings?for key components, further securing operational reliability and efficiency.
