On February 12, the Lijiang Snow Mountain Sightseeing Trains developed by CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Institute Co., Ltd.?started operation on a 20.7 km sightseeing line, the first of its kind in Lijiang City, connecting?the Old Town of Lijiang, a World Heritage Site, with Yulong Snow Mountain?Scenic Area.
These trains are designed to run at speeds of up to 70 kilometers per hour. To accommodate the line's small curves and steep gradients, they are equipped with innovative articulated bogies?with power, which enable?operation?on ultra-long slopes. In fact, they adapt to such harsh conditions as a maximum slope of 55‰ and a minimum curve radius of 50 meters.
To enhance the sightseeing experience, the trains feature?1.9-meter electrically controlled color-changeable side windows, which not only offer?passengers a better panoramic view but also effectively block harmful?high-altitude ultraviolet rays. As for the interior, Lijiang elements such as Dongba script and Naxi ethnic arts are integrated to showcase both natural scenery and ethnic culture?of the city.
These sightseeing trains provide a unique mobile platform,?allowing tourists to?enjoy the beautiful scenery of Yulong Snow Mountain up close, thereby?enhancing their travel experience. The quality and brand image?of Lijiang tourism can be significantly boosted?as well.
