Rating 5/5 Must Have Buy it from Amazon - The Universe Wants to Play: The Anomalist 12 a Nonfiction Anthology With a name such as “The Anomalist”, you had better be damn good at what you do. And damn good they are; despite of its confident connotations, the name they’ve chosen feels exceedingly appropriate with the newest addition to their highly acclaimed periodical journal. The Universe Wants To Play is a stellar, highly engaging affair, yet to be even remotely rivaled by any this year, thus far. The volume’s biggest strength is a distinct gift for conjuring a vivid, palpable image of the unfamiliar, within the span of just a few pages. There is much to enjoy here, both eloquently written insights and investigative accounts of fortean topics make up the eclectic 212 page volume. Very highly recommended.
Highlights include: Jay Walljasper’s interview with maverick scientist Rupert Sheldrake; Nick Redfern’s “Operation ESPionage: A Cold War Tale of Psychics, Spies, and UFOs”; and Albert Rosales’s curious “The Strangest of the Strange”. Terry G |
